🎡 My participant was a no-show. What should I do?

This is extremely unfortunate. No-shows are frustrating we know they can disrupt your schedule (and ours too). From Poocho,  Participants receive multiple reminders and nudges to confirm and attend their sessions. Yet, sometimes they do not make it. We are constantly working to reduce the rate of no-shows across the platform to your satisfaction. In the meantime, here ways you can bounce back quickly:

1. Overbook your sessions

Overbooking is one of the most effective ways to safeguard your target sample, especially when you’re on a tight timeline. You’ll only be charged for sessions that are completed, and you can cancel the rest as long as it’s done at least one hour before the start time. Read more about overbooking here

2. Rate the participant

Rating helps you — and other researchers — make informed decisions regarding this Participant in the future. Learn more about rating here

3. Widen your target group (if possible)

If your criteria allow it, consider expanding your target group slightly. A broader pool increases your chances of getting reliable attendance.

4. Cancel unconfirmed sessions

It can be highly disappointing when Participants don't show up for their scheduled Sessions. Confirmation is an important indicator of that. If you are not doing this already, feel free to cancel unconfirmed sessions.
